1.)  I painted the wing, did paper mache on one wing and the entire body and put balled up newsprint on the body. The only name I know in my group is Lahari. That girl who has three books all the time is in our group and the girl who always has on such stylish clothes is also in our group. (Just the people at my table.) Lahari cut out the body and wings and did paper mache on the wings. Book Girl did paper mache on the wings and painted the wings and applied tin foil on the wings and provided moral support. Fashionista applied tin foil on the wings, painted the wings, and did some paper mache on the wings. 2.) Once you have your body all set with cardboard and newsprint for depth, you can add layers of paper towels or paper with a mixture of flour and water mixed to pancake batter consistency. You wait for the individual layers to dry and then once you have four or five layers of paper, you can start painting it whatever color you'd like. 3.) We had difficulties with the pap

Finished Pit Fire Ceramics

(My piece was lost in the ashes. RIP Billy Bob.) 1.) In pit fired ceramics, you make something out of clay like normal. Then, you fire it and put stuff on it like hair or dog food or egg shells or salt. You wrap that in aluminum foil and then put it in a barrel with a bunch of wood and set that on fire to get the desired affect. 2.) I felt that only putting the salt onto my piece was successful. I would make my piece smoother were I to make it again. 3.) I burned hair and salt onto my piece.

1.) The process: take a ball of clay and roll it out on the slab roller. Measure out how tall your piece is and how wide it is but multiply that width by 3. Cut out the rectangle. Then, smooth it out. I did a sort of plastic texture mold for my texture, so I did that on the whole thing when it was flat. Then I made it into a cylinder and did a triangle for the bottom with my hands to shape it into the feet. Close the triangle all the way and put a ball of clay over to cover the middle. Then I made the handle out of a coil of clay and shaped it into the kind of handle I wanted and then scored and slipped to attach the handle. I added scratches that were supposed to look like fire and it was time for it to fire. Once it was fired, I added two layers of purple and orange glaze and then it was fired again. That's how we got to what you see today! 2.) I made a basic handle and I made it by rolling out a coil of clay and shaping it into my desired shape. 3.) I found my textu

Don't worry, it looks slightly better now. 1.) I coiled this piece, so I made a circular base, then rolled out snakes of clay and scored and slipped where clay touches clay and stacked them on top of each other. 2.) I have been trying to smooth it out, but a friend showed me how to do it so I'm good now. The only thing successful about this piece is the base. 3.) I plan to just make a simple bowl instead of my original design because it's hard to make it even. So, yes, it has changed.
